Best Practice: Is taking the trash out Tuesday night
Asks for the Common Good:
Even if you are not staying the entire week; please take your trash to the curb when you do leave, so not to leave the next guests with foreign trash :)
Dogs, please pick up after them — you’ll see a green metal poop can in the yard for that purpose. Please wrap it, tie it & deposit it in the can.
If you find yourself in a trash emergency - Call SANMAN - See section at bottom of this page.
Where:
There are three trash cans under the kitchen island.
We use two for recycling and one for trash, but you can do what you want, obviously!
Please note that we are single stream recycling.
Full trash bags go in the big cans on the back deck. Trash in the yellow cans, and recycling in the blue can.
Why:
If you forget the the trash a small $50 trash fee will regrettably be taken from the security deposit. Enter SANMAN.
The charge is to compensate our cleaning team who contracts with a private refuse & recycling company for removal to a third party site & will be taken from the guests security deposit.
Reason: Protects the next guests from starting their respite with a "trash surplus.”
How:
We’ve always put the recycling can on the left side of the driveway as you look at the road, and the trash cans on the right side. It’s what our guys are used to.

Joe Pannullo, Proprietor SANMAN Sanitation Management
The Stimpson House has contracted with SANMAN for augmenting any sanitation needs.
Particularly during the hot summer months trash alone can be an issue. When you add in pet waste, if it is not managed properly, it can become unsanitary :)
Both may result in a negative impact to current and next guest experiences.
Guests may contact Joe at SANMAN and he can schedule his team to do garbage pick up and garbage can cleaning. Typically same day.
$50 fee unless it’s a significant out of the ordinary issue.
